Hi builders! 👋 I’m Teki. Former fintech PM, now an MBA student. AI made me wonder: why limit myself to one job title? So I became an indie hacker! 😎 Looking to connect with more builders & indie hackers!

Build in public – Day 19 0 users 0 paying users $0 MRR 1,142 followers on X (+34 today 🥳) No more breaks. I’m back at 100%. A lot of people under my last post said it was weird that my products are still at $0. But this is exactly the problem. X is full of posts about startups making $10K in a month, and real builders start thinking they’ve failed after 2 weeks with no revenue. I’ll keep posting the real numbers even on Day 365 even if they’re still $0. We haven’t even launched yet. Be patient. Be kind. Success doesn’t happen on Day 2. Work and consistency. That’s it. Building AI, SaaS, or cool tech? Let’s #connect and keep each other motivated.

Introducing DataBull 🎉 I was paying $39/mo for DataFast just to see which posts made me money. That's $468 a year. Forever. And it goes up as your traffic grows. So I built my own. Same idea: revenue by traffic source. $29 lifetime. Unlimited sites. Unlimited events. Lifetime updates. >

i genuinely don't understand why everyone isn't using this yet Andrej Karpathy, a co-founder of OpenAI, posted a simple idea that hit 22 million views: stop using AI to write code, use it to build a second brain. you give Grok Bot one folder on its own cloud computer, feed it your emails, links and photos from your phone, and it reads them, links them and files them into a living wiki of everything you know. it compounds like interest, the more you feed it the sharper it gets. doesn't matter if you're a developer, a trader or a student, you need this the full setup: > create a bot in Grok Bot, name it Brain and add Gmail and Google Calendar in Connect apps. it runs on its own cloud computer, so it keeps working while your laptop is shut > paste the prompt from chapter 07 of the article below into its chat. one message builds the folder, the routines and the rules > it reads 20 emails you already sent and writes voice.md, 10 rules of how you write, each with a real line of yours. no more "hope this finds you well" drafts > label any email Brain and every night at 11 PM it saves the original into raw/ and files it on the page of that person or project > at 7:30 AM you get one page with what came in, what it drafted and what waits for your yes, ranked by the 5 projects you actually work on > correct it once and the fix goes into rules.md, which it rereads before every task. every Sunday it tells you what you decided and forgot keep it to a few runs a day. one hourly routine can eat a week of your plan. five minutes to set up, and you never start from a blank chat again. the terminal in the clip is my own visual concept and the market data in it is simulated. same engine, louder feed: one agent ingesting all day on a computer that is not my laptop. every prompt is in the 7-step course below. or paste the whole article into Brain's chat and it builds the brain for you.

PHP2Shell: what happened to PHP, and should you panic? Explaining it in simple words. What happened
On October 21, PHP shipped emergency updates. Two critical holes were found (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619). They're in PHP itself, not in WordPress or Laravel. In theory, an attacker can send a specially crafted request to your server and run their own code on it. No login needed, and in some setups it happens before your site's code even starts. Why all the noise - the vulnerable code is over 10 years old; everything from PHP 5.4 to the latest releases is affected - PHP runs on millions of servers - details leaked before the patch was out, so the release was pushed a day early Why you shouldn't panic
In practice, this isn't "one request and the server is theirs." An attacker needs to know your exact PHP build and server config, hit the right process, and often find a separate hole in the app itself. According to researchers, the public exploits don't work against a standard install. Bots are already scanning the internet, so don't sit on it, but experts aren't expecting a Log4Shell-style mass wave. And most importantly: this is normal
Your project isn't just your code. It's the OS, the Linux kernel, OpenSSL, nginx, your framework, hundreds of composer and npm packages, your payment SDK, third-party APIs and integrations. Vulnerabilities get found in every one of those layers. Literally every week. Most of them just don't come with an all-caps subject line. Security isn't "I have no holes." It's "I patch fast when they're found." What to do today 1. php -v: check your version 2. Update to 8.5.12 / 8.4.27 / 8.3.36 / 8.2.35 (package manager or a fresh Docker image) 3. Restart php-fpm or Apache. Without a restart, old processes stay vulnerable 4. Can't update right now? Temporarily set session.upload_progress.enabled = 0 in php.ini. It's a partial fix, not a replacement for updating 5. Still on PHP 7.x or 8.1? There are no official updates for those, only distro backports. Great excuse to finally upgrade Updated? Breathe out. Just another Thursday in a developer's life.

Questions

How is a hook measured?

Every measured post in the niche from the last 30 days is labelled by its hook and format. Each hook shows the median of its posts' views against their author's own usual views, so a hook that usually works ranks above one that won big once.

What does 2.4× their normal mean?

The typical post with that hook got 2.4 times its author's usual views. 1× is a normal post.

Can I copy these posts?

Take the pattern, never the words. HookPlaybook writes your own version of a post's pattern in your voice, and drops any draft too close to the original.

Is it free?

Yes, no sign-up. Signed in, the dashboard's hook library also shows accounts your size and every niche you follow.
